Originally from the East Coast, I have lived in Colorado for more than 40 years (yikes!!!). I'm a writer by trade, with expertise in technical writing, editing, information design, Web design, and Web content development. I'm an avid backyard birder throughout the year. My indoor activities include watching lots of movies and scrapbooking. Currently, I'm making an album about my month-long stay in England. |
Gus is my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He was born on June 15, 2012, and came to live with me when he was nine weeks old. Gus is a wild and crazy guy – the polar opposite of mellow Ben. Maybe it's because he's still a puppy! But, just like Ben (and all Cavvies), he's become a great friend and companion. He loves life – and just about everyone he meets.

Ben
was my first Cavalier
King Charles Spaniel, and was a loving and devoted companion. He was born on November 9, 1998 and died, unexpectedly, on July 30, 2012. He was 13 years old.
The picture on the left was taken
when he was just a puppy, and the one on the right when he
was about 10.
Here are more photos of him.
My old friend, Nikki La Poodle, died of kidney failure in June of 1998. She was 15.
My best kitty friend, Rosie, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on November 1, 2009. She was 18 years old. In the summer of 1992, a friend found a mother cat (who
I named Rosie) and her six newborns in a Dumpster, huddled
together in a cardboard box. Imagine, someone had actually
thrown them away! Being the softy that I am, I took them
all in. They thrived and grew and when the kittens were
two months old, I placed five of them in homesbut not
before putting potential "parents" through a very rigorous
interview process! I kept Rosie and the runt of the litter,
Lizzie. Lizzie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on October 16, 2010. She was 18. Lizzie was a very "special" kitty, who endured a lifetime of chronic illnesses. In spite of it, she was a happy and loving friend. Here are some photos of
mother and daughter. | |
